Consultant Microbiologist
I trained in medicine at Cambridge and Oxford, completing my general medical training and gaining MRCP in London. I then specialised in Microbiology and completed my registrar training at UCLH before taking up a consultant post at the Royal Free Hospital in January 2010.
At the Royal Free, my main areas of interest are managing infection and infection control issues on the renal units, also chronic infection patient reviews and antibiotic stewardship ward rounds. I am the current training lead for our department. I enjoy teaching both at an undergraduate and postgraduate level and lead a module on the UCL MSC in infection control. I am very keen on outreach work and do regular sessions in schools in my role as a STEMNET ambassador.
