Infection Prevention & Control Consultant
Annette Jeanes is an experienced Consultant Nurse in Infection Control. She has worked in Infection Control for more than fifteen years, most recently as the Director of Infection and Prevention and Consultant Nurse at University College London Hospitals.
In the past she has worked at several London teaching hospitals in intensive care, infectious diseases, medicine and surgery. Her current research focus is improving hand hygiene compliance; other areas of interest include cleaning in healthcare, intravenous devices, reducing infection particularly in surgical wounds and the use of social marketing in healthcare. She has more than fifty publications and has presented at numerous conferences.
Annette has also worked as an external expert infection control advisor to organisations particularly at a strategic level.
